Solis Lough Eske Castle Hotel

Solis Lough Eske Castle Hotel is a five-star castle hotel located on a private lakeside estate just outside Donegal Town, with a rich history dating back to the 15th century.

The award-winning Lough Eske Castle is Donegal's only five-star hotel and has been titled "World's Best Luxury Country Hotel" for five consecutive years (2009-2013) - it is the only Irish hotel to claim a "World Luxury Hotel Award."

Rosapenna Hotel & Golf Resort

For a break combining golf and nature, Rosapenna Hotel & Golf Resort, Downings is the perfect destination.  Set between two sandy beaches along Sheephaven Bay, and within 800 acres of links, the luxury 4-Star Rosapenna Hotel and Golf Resort in north-west Donegal is home to two of Ireland's finest links courses - the original Old Tom Morris Links (laid out in 1893), and the Sandy Hills Links which opened in 2003.

Mayo

Talbot Lodge Belmullet

Enniscoe Country House and Estate

Located near Crossmolina, at the foot of Mount Nephin with views across Lough Conn, Enniscoe Country House and Estate welcomes dogs, free of charge. This 6-bedroom elegant Georgian Guest House is operated by pet-loving mother and son team Susan & DJ Kellett.

Clare Island Lighthouse

This restored 1806 Lighthouse operates as boutique guest accommodation, having been transformed into fully catered, luxury accommodation, in a magnificent setting and natural environment.

The Wyatt Hotel Westport

The Wyatt Hotel is a charming, comfortable and welcoming 3* boutique hotel in the heart of Westport.  Dog-friendly rooms include Dog Bed and direct Courtyard access. There is also a green area at the rear of the hotel plus public pedestrian access to the extensive grounds of Westport House.

Self-Catering Mulranny Suites

Mulranny Suites, located behind the Mulranny Park Hotel in Mulranny village, Co. Mayo, the gateway to the Corraun Peninsula and Achill Island.  Accommodation options include deluxe 3-bedroom self-catering Courtyard Suites and Superior Lodges, all equipped to the highest standard and with complimentary WiFi plus Netflix on the smart TV.

Mulranny Suites combine the space and freedom of self catering but with the amenities of a 4* Hotel including complimentary use of Leisure Centre and 20-metre heated indoor pool (Note hotel seasonal closing).

The 42 km (26 mile) Great Western Greenway, running from Westport to Achill, and passing through the towns of Newport and Mulranny, runs directly behind the suites. You can walk the greenway or hire a bike through Clew Bay Bike Hire who have a rental outlet at the hotel. For those not wishing to do the full round trip they offer a shuttle bus option.

The Blue Flag beach and nine-hole Mulranny Golf links course are just a few minutes walk.

Ashford Castle

The 5-Star Ashford Castle (voted World's Best Hotel by Virtuoso) is gloriously dog-friendly. The welcome includes a Very Important Pet package. This luxurious hotel is set in 350 acres on the shores of Lough Corrib near Cong village, home of “The Quiet Man” film.

The Lodge at Ashford Castle

The Lodge at Ashford Castle is a boutique hotel within the Ashford Castle estate. Dogs are welcome and even have their own Scooby Doo menu. There is a charge of €10 per night per dog.

Newport House

Newport House is situated overlooking the estuary of the Newport River where it flows into Clew Bay and is within easy reach of some of Ireland's most beautiful lakes, mountains and coasts.

Newport House is famous as a fishing centre and holds the fishing rights to the internationally renowned Newport River (fly fishing only) with 8 miles of river (both banks) and Lough Beltra West - 3 miles by 1 mile. The fishery holds a healthy stock of Spring Salmon, Grilse and still some Seatrout and all fish are wild. It is one of the few fisheries in Ireland where Spring Salmon can be fished from a boat. The spring fishing opens on the 20th of March and continues through June when the Grilse (Summer Salmon) begin to show. There is often a run of bigger fish at the end of the season in September.

Galway City / Connemara

Galway City  - The Ardilaun Hotel

The 4 Star family-owned  and operated Ardilaun Hotel is nestled in spacious private grounds, only 1km from the centre of the bustling festival city of Galway.

Dog-Friendly: The Ardilaun Hotel has a number of designated dog-friendly room beside the beautiful gardens allowing easy access when the need arises and nice little exercise area / playground.

The Twelve Hotel

The award-winning, luxury Twelve Hotel is located in the seaside village of Barna, a few minutes west of Galway City.  This contemporary boutique hotel is one of the most dog-friendly in the region.  Welcome includes Doggy Bag, Pet Menu and stay in a Luxury Suite at no extra charge for one pet.

Clifden eco Beach Camping & Caravanning Park

Dog-friendly: Dogs are allowed on lead, Dogs come for free.

Located just 10 minutes from Clifden town and two minutes from the small scenic village of Claddaghduff in Connemara, Co. Galway, Clifden ecoBeach Camping is a dog-friendly campsite set in 8 hectares in an Special Area of Conservation for Bottle-nosed Dolphins, on Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way.

The camposite can facilitate Motorhome, Caravan or Tent.

Glamping and wild camping style plots with private eco-campfires are peaceful and privately spaced between marram grass covered sand dunes.

Renvyle House Hotel

In a spectacular setting in a 150 acre estate literally on the shores of the Wild Atlantic Way, Renvyle House Hotel is another truly dog-friendly hotel, with dogs allowed everywhere except the Dining Room (and the bar if people are eating).

Travelodge Hotel Joyce Roundabout, Tuam Road

The budget Travelodge Hotel is dog-friendly hotel located a 15-minute walk from Eyre Square, there is a small additional charge for pets, maximum two per room.

Other Galway / Connemara hotel options include Lough Inagh Lodge Hotel, Cashel House Hotel, Zetland Country House Hotel, and the Ardilaun Hotel.

Self-catering options include GMIT Holiday Apartments, Cuirt na Rasai, Ballybrit and NUIG, Cuirt na Coiribe, Headford Road.

Clare

Gregans Castle Hotel

Situated 5km south of Ballyvaughan village in north Co. Clare, and ideally situated overlooking the unique and world renowned Burren landscape, the multi award winning and historic Gregans Castle Hotel enjoys breath-taking views across Galway Bay.  Dogs are welcome in some of ground floor rooms which have garden access.

Byrnes Ennistymon WineDineStay

Byrnes Ennistymon WineDineStay is a family-run business located in the centre of the popular town of Ennistymon, in north Clare.  In addition to guest accommodation of 6 en-suite bedrooms with river or town views, coffee, snacks, lunch, drinks and evening meals are served every day from 10am.

Burren Castle Hotel, Lisdoonvarna

Located in the beautiful countryside of Co. Clare on the edge of the world-renowned Burren, and just 2km from Lisdoonvarna, the Burren Castle Hotel offers 80 en-suite bedrooms, almost all of which enjoy beautiful views.  Dogs can be accommodated subject to availability at a charge of €5 a night, including a takeaway sausage and bacon breakfast.

Dromelihy House, Cree, Dromelihy , Doonbeg, Co. Clare

Dromelihy House, is a pet-friendly self-catered country house with garden near Doonbeg Co. Clare.

Limerick

Dunraven Arms Hotel, Adare

Located in the designated Heritage Town of Adare, just 10 miles from Limerick city, the 4-Star Dunraven Arms Hotel makes an ideal base for exploring Limerick’s Hunt Museum and King John’s Castle, while further afield could include day trips to the Burren, the Cliffs of Moher, and Killarney / Killarney National Park.

Castleoaks House Hotel, Castleconnell

Formerly known as Woodlands House, the 4-Star Castleoaks House Hotel is located 7 miles / 11 km north east of Limerick city on the banks of the River Shannon in the parish of Castleconnell. There is a pet friendly garden suite with access to the beautiful gardens. This contains bedroom accommodation plus a downstairs lounge area. Situated on 26 areas of mature gardens, there is an abundance of beautiful walks.

Kerry

Dingle Marina Lodge B&B, Dingle, Co. Kerry

This modern purpose-built B&B is centrally located, overlooking Dingle marina and harbour and within walking distance of Dingle's many restaurants and bars.

Kerry Ocean Lodge B&B, Glenbeigh, Co. Kerry

The 20-bedroom Kerry Ocean Lodge is centrally located in Glenbeigh on the Ring of Kerry with fantastic views of Rossbeigh Beach and Seefin Mountains.

Randles Hotel and Dromhall Hotel Killarney

Family owned and managed by the Randles family, these sister, 4-star dog-friendly hotels  are located on the Muckross Road, near the INEC, and just five minutes' walk from Killarney town centre. Facilities include Day Spa, Leisure Cente, 20 metre swimming pool, sauna & steam room.

Aghadoe Heights Hotel & Spa, Killarney

We have removed the Aghadoe Heights Hotel & Spa following confirmation that the hotel no longer allows pet dogs.

Sneem Hotel

The luxury 4-Star Sneem Hotel (and 28 self-catering 2 and 3 bed apartments) is set in an area of outstanding natural beauty, overlooking Golden’s Cove, on the Ring of Kerry.

The Sneem Hotel has specific hotel rooms and self-catering apartments where dogs are welcome, regardless of size, weight, or breed for zero fees or deposit.  There are terrific walking trails near the hotel that you and your dog will enjoy as well as some beautiful sandy beaches.

The Dunloe Hotel & Gardens, Killarney

The Dunloe offers dog friendly accommodation for your dog, whether it is in one of our luxurious kennels, or in one of our pet friendly hotel guest rooms – please note this is your choice i.e. there is an option of a dog-friendly bedroom. There is a charge of €10 per dog per night which includes a welcome pack.

The Park Georgian Guesthouse Bed & Breakfast Tralee

Located in the heart of Tralee town on Denny Street, the Tralee Park Guest House is a very fine example of Georgian architecture, featuring beautiful high ceilings, coving and many other original features.  A number of Holiday cottages are also available in the Dingle Peninsula.

Cork

The Beara Coast Hotel, Castletownbere, Beara, West Cork

The Beara Coast Hotel is located on Cametringane Point within 5 minutes walking distance of the centre of Castletownbere.

Seaview House Hotel, Ballylickey

Seaview House Hotel is a 4-Star country house hotel set in private grounds in the quiet village of Ballylickey just 4 km from Bantry Town and a short hop to Glengarriff. Dogs are welcomed and can stay in your room, and there are a number of designated pet friendly ground floor rooms.

Rolfs Country House, Baltimore

Rolfs Country House B&B in Baltimore, West Cork, is a family-run business, operated by the Haffner family since 1979.  Set in 4.5 acres of mature subtropical gardens, with many subtropical plants and mature trees, the existing old farmhouse and courtyard - surrounded by traditional stone build outhouses - have been carefully restored and renovated to bring it back to its original style and character, in the process providing beautiful Bedroom and Holiday Cottage accommodation.
