When you enter BrookLodge, you will be greeted by the hotel’s own friendly labradors Oscar and George. Instantly you feel at home in BrookLodge, with the smell of freshly baked brown bread (which is on sale at reception) wafting into your nose. You can eat in the Waterside Lounge just next to reception, which has gorgeous soups and a particularly epic steak sandwich, there is the Strawberry Tree restaurant which is a certified Organic Restaurant with amazing dishes and the La Taverna Armeno has gorgeous Italian food.
POW-2But what will, of course, be most relevant to readers of Woof Advisor is the fact that BrookLodge is a pet-friendly hotel. You will often see dogs of various shapes and sizes in reception. And with such a spectacular backdrop (you are just 15 minutes from Glendalough for example) there are some magnificent places for your dog to explore.

POW-3The hotel has some ground floor dog-friendly rooms suitable for small, well-trained dogs. For dogs of a bigger size, they have a kennel  in Macreddin Village, to ensure a quiet and comfortable night’s sleep for all. Guests must bring along their own bedding and food for their furry friends (although a doggy treat on arrival is provided). Dogs need to be kept on a lead at all times. A small accommodation charge of €10 per night per dog applies and dog-friendly rooms must be pre-booked prior to arrival.
